Announcement of the Amendment of K China Equity Fund (K-CHINA)

 

 

            KASIKORN ASSET MANAGEMENT Co., Ltd. (the Management Company) would like to notify you the amendment of K China Equity Fund (K-China) which has been approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that the Master Fund of K-CHINA has been changed from Fidelity Funds – China Focus Fund, Class A-USD to JPMorgan Funds – China Fund, Class JPM China I (acc) – USD since the decline in the Chinese equity prices invested by the previous Master Fund have been further than its benchmark because of an economic downturn. As a result, the performance of the previous Master Fund is lower than the average of other funds in the same group. Moreover, fiscal and monetary policies in China will stimulate the value of Growth Stock more than Value Stock which the previous Master Fund mainly invests in.

            The new Master Fund mainly invests in equities of companies that are domiciled, or carrying out the main part of their economic activity, in the PRC and may invest in China A-Shares both directly through the China-Hong Kong Stock Connect Programmes, the RQFII and QFII quotas, and indirectly by means of participation notes.
